Jason is a director of Moore Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) and is responsible for a portfolio of auditing and assurance clients as well as for the human resources function in the firm. His client portfolio ranges from sole proprietors to large private companies in various sectors. Jason completed his studies at the Nelson Mandela University. In 2003 he joined the firm as a trainee accountant. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) during 2006 and was appointed as director in 2011. During 2012, Jason established the B-BBEE Verification department in the firm after completing a Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Management Development Program, through the University of South Africa. Jason also went on to establish a SANAS accredited verification agency, by the name of Moore Stephens Verification Services. Jason has been involved with various public sector audit engagements in the Eastern Cape, governed by the Public Finance Management Act and the Further Education and Training Act. He is the engagement partner for several FET College clients and has auditing experience of more than five years in the industry.
