Leana qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) during 2012, after serving articles with the firm.

She completed her degree at the University of the Free State. She was appointed as a director in 2022. She has been involved as an audit manager in various audits for over five years. She has extensive experience in the fishing and citrus industry.
